Silversoft recognises the importance of protecting the user's personal information. Therefore, we have put together and follow a policy that respects and addresses the user's needs.
Silversoft is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Silversoft collects information from the user at several different points on our web site.
Consent to collect information can be express (for example signing an agreement) or implied (e.g. if the user are given an opportunity to opt-out of a specific form of information sharing, but choose not to do so, Silversoft implies that the user choose to share this information with us).
- What information does Silversoft collect? At different times, Silversoft may collect four types of information about the user.
First , we use a feature of the user's browser called a cookie to assign identification to the user's computer. Cookies consist of small pieces of data or a small text file which is given to the user's browser by Silversoft's web server when the user visits the Silversoft web site. This data is stored on the user's browser. The cookie is sent back to the Silversoft web server each time the user visit the Silversoft web site. Cookies are not computer programs and do not run on a computer like programs do. They cannot gather information or function on their own. They cannot collect any personal information about the user or the user's machine and cannot gather data or information about what the user do on the Internet. Cookies merely enable Silversoft to provide a more valuable online experience to the user. For instance, by setting a cookie on Silversoft site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on Silversoft site. Should the user set up the user's Internet browser to disable cookies or if the user rejects the cookie, the user may still use Silversoft's site.
Second , we keep track of the user's IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. The user's IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information about the user, such as the user's location and the user's Internet service provider. Silversoft may also collect aggregate information on how our users are utilizing the site. This might include information regarding traffic patterns through the site and search queries. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Third , we log browser types, access times, URLs from which visitors came to our site and URLs viewed by visitors while on our site. Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Statement, we do not provide this information to third parties, except in aggregate form.
Fourth , we request information from the user on our Contact Us form. Here a user must provide personal information (name, phone number and email address). This information is used for communicating to Silversoft. If we have trouble processing an email contact, the contact information is used to get in touch with the user.
- With whom does Silversoft share data?
We will not voluntarily disclose any information about individual users, except as described in this Privacy Statement, or to comply with applicable laws or valid legal process, or to protect the rights or property of Silversoft or others, to assist our e-mail vendor with resolving complaints about unsolicited e-mail, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Statement.
- What choices are available regarding collection, use and distribution of the information (Opt Out Policy)?
Many of the services available on our sites provide the user with the opportunity to opt out of receiving communications from us and our partners. In addition, in our email communications, we will have instructions on how to unsubscribe so that the user will not receive any future emails from us if the user so choose.
As previously noted, the user may always choose to not provide us with any of the information we request; however, this may limit our ability to provide the user with a specific service or limit our ability to offer personalized content.
Users of our site are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether they should proceed with services that require an outside party, or not.
- What procedures have been designed to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under Silversoft's control?
Silversoft takes every precaution to protect the user's information.
We also do everything in our power to protect user information offline. Access to all of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.
- What about privacy policies for sites linked to Silversoft?
Silversoft contains many links to Web sites not affiliated with Silversoft. These sites have their own policies and practices with respect to online privacy, and Silversoft cannot be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these unaffiliated Web sites. In addition, in certain instances a Silversoft advertiser may ask the user for personal information. Silversoft cannot be responsible for the privacy practices of its advertisers.
- What happens to my information if Silversoft merges with or is sold to another company?
It is possible that Silversoft and/or any of our assets may be acquired. In such a transaction, customer information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. While we will endeavour to require the successor company to maintain this Privacy Statement, we cannot guarantee that our policy will remain in effect.
This policy may be revised over time as new features are added to the Web site. We will post our new Privacy Statement, along with the date of its last revision, prominently so that the user will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone. Please check this Web page for information about revisions to our Privacy Statement.
